In the same way you test your smoke alarm on a monthly basis (or should, anyway!), you should also test your SEi security system. Taking this step once every four weeks will ensure your system is performing at its best.
Why should I test my SEi security system?
Monitoring for your SEi system provides you with the security of knowing our Central Station will be able to notify your local authorities in case of an emergency. Be it police, firefighters or ambulance services, the connection between your system and our dispatch team relies on a continued connection with our Central Station.
If the connection is disrupted, these services will be disrupted as well.
Please note: if your system is monitored via your phone line, it is crucial that you contact us in the event any changes are made to your phone service.
How do I test my SEi security system?
Testing your system can be done in 3 easy steps.
Call Central Station at 800-279-3667, then provide the SEi representative with your password in order to place your system in test mode.
Hang up, arm your system and trigger the alarm.
Once the siren sounds, call the Central Station back to verify the signal was received.
Once the process is complete, the SEi representative will assist you in resetting your system, and request your password once more.
Be sure to never give your password out to anyone other than those using your system, or a SEi representative.
